The editor has an integrated spellchecker supporting many languages. The service only checks spelling and not grammar.
Spellchecker will produce different results from external spellcheckers as special characters are not recognized as they may potentially be code.
The desktop editor must be online to use the spellchecking service.
To run the spellchecker, press F7 or select Spellcheck from the menu. Spelling errors are underlined in red and displayed in the QA pane.
Right-clicking on an underlined word displays suggested spellings and if the original spelling is confirmed, it can be saved to the user dictionary by selecting Add to dictionary.
Enhance the spellchecker by adding a custom list of correct words in XLSX format. Added words are not shared; they are only available to that specific user. The only formatting required is the language code as a header in the first row.
Words can also be removed from the dictionary by modifying an exported XLSX file.
XLSX files containing the following characters cannot be imported:
" (straight quotes);
! (exclamation mark).
To add a custom list, follow these steps:
Linguist - Sign in to the linguist portal.
Project manager - Sign in .
From the Settings page, scroll down to the section and click on Spellchecker user dictionary.
The list can also be exported to an .XLSX file for modification such as deleting entries by clicking Export.
Click Choose file and select and an .XLSX file for import.
Choose an import option and click Import.
The words are added to the Spellchecker.
Using Spellcheck QA with custom words in the user dictionary can result in differing results between users.

From the Tools and select Upload.page, click
The Upload Bilingual File window opens.
Click Choose Files and select the file for upload.
Click Upload Bilingual File.
The job is updated with the contents of the bilingual file.
Open the job in the editor and confirm remaining segments.
