v24.22 - June 18, 2024

New Features and Improvements

  • As of June 18th, the minimum version will be set to 24.8.0. Earlier versions will no longer be able to login to Phrase to work with online files. Newer versions are available on our download site.

Fixed Bugs

  • Accents in capitalized letters were not visible in Greek. This has been fixed.

  • When placing the cursor at the end of a long segment, the beginning of the segment was automatically focused on the screen. This has been fixed.

New Features and Improvements

  • MT and NT verbal UI elements added to scored matches to distinguish better between them.

  • Verbal explanation of TM, MT, and NT scores added to respective tooltips.

  • UI terminology changes:

    • MT matches changed to MT suggestions

    • NT matches changed to non-translatables

Fixed Bugs

  • Editor window is blank when opening joined jobs with Job wasn't found error. This has been fixed.

  • Import bilingual docx file function doesn't detect .docx files when UI set to Chinese. This has been fixed.

  • Deleting a character and inserting another within a target segment defined in bold (e.g. from a TM), immediately creates two tags (bold) in the .MXLIFF and triggers a QA error message. This has been fixed..

  • The Changes filter does not display changes when more than 100 jobs are opened. This has been fixed.

  • This release includes general optimization improvements.

Fixed Bugs

  • MacOS: The keyboard shortcut for non-breaking space was incorrect. This has been fixed.

  • In some cases, it was not possible to lock/unlock filtered segments when working with multiple jobs opened as a joined .MXLIFF. This has been fixed.

  • An edited or custom tag is inserted when copying source to target or inserting a CAT result. This has been fixed.

  • Custom tags gets reverted to the regular blue tag after copying source to target to another segment. This has been fixed.

  • Edited tags revert back when inserting matches in subsequent segments. This has been fixed.

  • Inserting text after an extended tag that is replacing a number duplicates one of the tags in the segment. This has been fixed.

  • Ctrl+D is now also supported for deleting texts outside of segments (comments and replies and other text inputs).

Fixed Bugs

  • 0, instead of MT, is given for MT matches when Phrase Language AI is not subscribed/not set as MT engine for a project. This has been fixed.

  • Ctrl+Delete used in a comment deletes the next word in a target segment, instead of in the comment. This has been fixed.

  • A smaller font size is now used for side panel diffs (was larger than others).

  • Segment preview in Comments and LQA is now aligned with how it is presented in the web editor.

  • The order and appearance of values in the status bar has been changed to align more with the web editor.

New Features and Improvements

  • The Customize shortcuts dialog has been reworked to be in line with the app UI and moved to the Preferences panel; the Network section has been moved to the Misc tab of Preferences.

  • Differentiation between the first and subsequent repetitions is now clearer.

  • New terms are again distinguishable from Approved terms in the CAT pane.

  • Context menus now show key shortcuts where applicable.

  • When user is using System theme and the theme changes based on daytime (typically light mode during the day and dark mode during night), the editor now automatically switches.

Fixed Bugs

  • MacOS: The Cmd+H shortcut doesn't open the Replace panel. This has been fixed.
