Strings Resource files are standard localization files used for iOS and OS X applications. A Strings Resource file consists of key-value pairs connected by an = sign. It is similar to a Java Properties file, excepting that both keys and values are wrapped in double-quotes and that each key-value pair ends with a semicolon.

If generating Strings Resource files using a 3rd party tool (e.g., genstrings), it is possible that to have files with duplicate key strings. Duplicate keys are not normally problematic, but removing them before initiating the translation process is recommended.
