It would be really useful to be able to export Memsource comments, at least for the main file types (.docx, .pptx, .xlsx), this mean the ability to export the comments made in Memsource as comments in the final target translated file.
So the need is for *exporting* the comments that were added in the Memsource editor as Word/Excel/PowerPoint native comments.
Use case:
It's really important to be able to quickly leave comments for the clients or the proofreaders that they can read directly in Word once they receive the file if they don't use Memsource.

Hi,
I'd like to upvote this one: being able to quickly leave a comment for the customer and then find the comments sitting in the final document after download would be a very appreciated feature, saving a lot of time. The way it is now, I have to write every comment separately in an email to the client, each time specifically explaining which part of text I'm referring to and giving examples. With exported comments all would be self-explanatory. Please implement.
Perfect write-up, Ahmed. Thank you!
Hope this gets traction, it's a really important feature for a lot of users.
Best,
Daniel
I second this motion.
Most of the comments I introduce are questions to the clients and others are notes to self, but still comments about the text which are crucial in the final editing and proofreading stages.
It would be a very welcome feature to be able to export these in the final translated files.
I got the exact same request from my customer. I am hoping this gets attention from our Dev team.
Yes, I agree with this request. This is a very important feature for us and right now most of our translators are coming back because of this. Can you let us know by when can you implement this feature?
I absolutely upvote this request!
Totally agree with this request!
It would be great of memsource technical team can let us know tentative timeline to get this feature functioning, so we can keep our translator informed accordingly.
Being able to export the comments as footnotes or end notes in the final export would also be very helpful.
Oh my heavens, YES, YES, YES!!!!
I upvote this too - so much time saved!!!
I totally upvote this request!! This is a must for me. My clients want me to indicate on which sites I find the necessary terminology. Also, when there is an issue in the text, it is nice to be able to put a comment.
Hello everyone, thank you for your feedback and enthusiasm! We appreciate it! This post has gathered quite a lot of upvotes, but it still needs some more to get picked up by our Product team.
Once it does get picked up, we will change the status to "Planned", as mentioned in our Feature Request Policy.
Thank you for your understanding.
