Video localization hours are calculated by minutes of the source video/audio multiplied by number of languages:
Video localization hours = Minutes of source video/audio × number of languages
Content length is always rounded up to the next full minute. For example, a video lasting 1:41 minutes (101 seconds) is rounded up to 2 minutes.
-
The source language counts as one language.
-
Hours are deducted the same way regardless of whether subtitling, dubbing, or both are used.
-
Consumption is visible in the tab of the Phrase Platform dashboard.
Every pricing plan, except for Freelancer and legacy plans, includes 1 hour of video localization per year (prorated) as part of the subscription. Included hours are added to any Phrase Studio add-on purchase and are shared across all users in the organization.
Note
The Phrase Studio Enterprise add-on cannot be purchased via self-service. Please contact the assigned account manager for more information.
After purchasing a Studio add-on, more capacity can be added in-product when needed.
