Credit-Based Pricing

On credit-based plans, the organization purchases a prepaid Phrase Credit Pool. Credits are deducted from the pool as Phrase capabilities are used. Each capability consumes credits at its own credit rate.

View Credit Rates and Balance

Credit rates and the current credit balance are shown in the product. To view the credit rates, follow these steps:

From the Dashboard, navigate to Organization settings.
Select the Subscription overview tab.
The Subscription overview tab also shows credit consumption per month by capability, and a breakdown for the current billing period.

Generative AI Features

Phrase calculates credit consumption for AI-powered (large language model, LLM) features from the number of target words submitted to Phrase. Each feature has its own credit rate.

The following features consume credits on this basis:

MT Optimize

Recommended input limit for timely processing: 5,000 words.
Auto Adapt
Auto LQA
AI Checks

Only unlocked (evaluated) words are counted.

Note

For character-based target languages (Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Thai), the number of characters is divided by two.

Credit Validity

Credits are valid for the whole subscription term, for example 12 months. This applies even when the subscription is invoiced in shorter intervals, such as quarterly. Credits left unused at the end of the subscription term expire and do not transfer to a renewed subscription.

All organizations under the subscription draw from the same Phrase Credit Pool, including staging, sandbox and test organizations.

Usage Beyond the Credit Pool

When the Phrase Credit Pool is used up, capabilities remain available. Further usage is charged as on-demand consumption, as described in the Pricing Terms.
