Weekly Release Notes

Weekly Release Notes — October 27, 2026

The release notes summarize the changes introduced over the previous week.

New Features & Improvements

  • Portals on credit-based pricing plans can now have a Credit limit (one-time or monthly) set and enforced, the same way MTU limits already work for other plans
  • Added an optional Scope field to the BYO Engine (Bring Your Own Machine Translation) Client Credentials (OAuth 2.0) setup, so engines such as Microsoft Entra ID that require a specific scope can now be configured directly in Phrase TMS
  • AI Translation Agent can now be selected and saved as the AI/machine translation service in project templates, so new projects created from the template start with it pre-populated
  • Content Groups are now available to all customers
  • Added support for the English (Poland) locale (en-PL) across Phrase Strings and Phrase TMS
  • TMX import now matches locale variants more flexibly (for example de vs. de-DE), so files with slightly different locale codes no longer fail to import or lose translations
  • Added an in-context preview for PSD (Photoshop) files
  • Added a public read-only API endpoint to look up a saved Projects-list view's filter and column configuration
  • Added a public API endpoint to restore a soft-deleted term base from the recycle bin
  • Quote API v3 endpoints (Get/Edit quote) are now available
  • The Contentful app now works correctly through an environment alias, including its dashboard, config screen, and pinned content types
  • The SharePoint connector can now be set up using the Sites.Selected enterprise permission model, without requiring tenant-wide access
  • Term base (glossary) API list and get endpoints now include a terms count
  • Repo Sync import events now expose the created upload batch, so API clients can detect per-file upload failures
  • Batch pre-translation in the Editor now lets you choose, per action, whether to overwrite existing unverified translations, independent of the project-level setting
  • Increased the default API concurrency rate limit from 4 to 8 parallel requests
  • Atlas responses now keep generating in the background and can be reconnected to after a browser refresh
  • Improved the accuracy of bulk updates made via Atlas
  • The size limit on in-context preview images has been removed

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: Google AutoML translation requests where the mapped source and target locale codes collapsed to the same code (for example zh_cn to zh) failed; some incorrect locale mappings were also corrected
  • Fixed: Google AutoML translations with many short segments could fail when a request exceeded the maximum segment count
  • Fixed: Phrase Language AI batch pre-translation failed for a Systran PNMT engine with a custom endpoint while interactive machine translation continued to work
  • Fixed: MT Glossary terms were not applied when Phrase Next GenMT fell back to segment-by-segment translation
  • Fixed: searching across projects could fail with an error
  • Fixed: Auto Adapt output could contain a stray termbase stem marker ("|") from glossary terms
  • Fixed: linguists without the QEP entitlement could be blocked from editing a job in the CAT editor due to an evaluation history permissions error
  • Fixed: PPTX exports could render text colors incorrectly in Windows PowerPoint
  • Fixed: creating jobs for many target languages from one Excel file via the API could fail for one language with an Invalid target column error
  • Fixed: pre-translation could unconfirm and unlock segments with 101% translation memory matches after an automated source update
  • Fixed: in-context previews failed to generate for XLIFF (bilingual) jobs
  • Fixed: the project jobs segments API could return null for per-segment translation origin, match score, confirmed, and locked status
  • Fixed: documents too large to convert now show a clear "document too large" message instead of a generic internal error
  • Fixed: the Automated Project Creation list could show a setting as active after it had actually been deactivated
  • Fixed: project managers with the documented role could still be blocked from downloading workflow change reports
  • Fixed: a job with a due date could also appear duplicated under the "No due date" group in the Jobs table
  • Fixed: the Jobs table showed jobs in reverse order compared to the legacy view
  • Fixed: declined vendor jobs could continue to show as New or Accepted on the buyer side instead of reflecting the decline
  • Fixed: downloading a translation memory export could return an empty response instead of an error after the download link had already been used
  • Fixed: XML element-selection rules (includeXPath) could have no effect on job import
  • Fixed: assigning a term base or translation memory to a project template with an incompatible locale silently succeeded instead of returning an error
  • Fixed: links and the "Show more" toggle in project notes looked like plain text
  • Fixed: webhook "Send test" calls were sent without the configured Secret token and never appeared in the webhook History
  • Fixed: the Projects list Status filter returned unfiltered results for linguist accounts
  • Fixed: the "Delete view" confirmation dialog on the Projects list could be hidden behind an overlay and unclickable
  • Fixed: GitHub (Beta) subfolder monitoring could fail to list files for large repositories; tree listing is now scoped to the monitored folder
  • Fixed: Bitbucket Cloud and Contentful connectors could be saved without completing OAuth authorization
  • Fixed: Automated Project Creation job imports failing due to a transient internal error are now retried automatically instead of requiring a manual retry
  • Fixed: an invalid webhook callback URL is now rejected immediately instead of being silently accepted and failing later
  • Fixed: Contentful App submissions made through a followed environment alias were not found by the connector after the alias was repointed to a new environment
  • Fixed: uploading a gettext plural file with an unresolvable locale name caused an import failure
  • Fixed: branch sync could fail when a conflict re-created a screenshot key that had been deleted on the base branch
  • Fixed: AI Translation Agent autotranslate could fail entirely when a project term base didn't support the target language
  • Fixed: pre-translate with AI Translation Agent could fail to produce translations for large batches
  • Fixed: the Phrase CLI did not clear a translation's content when updating it with empty or null content
  • Fixed: branch sync could crash with a duplicate key name error when two keys had their names swapped on the base branch
  • Fixed: the Project Activity page could time out on large projects
  • Fixed: certain regex searches containing specific character classes could return a server error instead of a clear validation message
  • Fixed: a horizontal scrollbar was missing when zooming the in-context preview for right-to-left target languages
  • Fixed: long tags inserted into right-to-left targets could show the tag number and closing marker in the wrong position
  • Fixed: automatic machine translation lookup in the CAT editor did not honor a 0% translation-memory-match threshold meant to disable it
  • Fixed: the "Open in new tab" icon for references was missing in the Resources tab for linguists
  • Fixed: Comments shortcuts could fire unexpectedly while a suggestion popup was open in the CAT editor
  • Fixed: LQA could not be started on joined jobs when some of the joined job parts were empty
  • Fixed: long URLs in chat messages could overflow the message bubble instead of wrapping
  • Fixed: a long auto-generated conversation title could hide the side panel's icons
  • Fixed: workflow actions could fail when a referenced value contained unescaped quotation marks
  • Fixed: creating a workflow via "Create > Workflow via templates" could fail intermittently for some users
