Weekly Release Notes

Weekly Release Notes — November 2, 2026

The release notes summarize the changes introduced over the previous week.

New Features & Improvements

  • Quality Evaluation now shows how many AI Checks ran during an evaluation.
  • The Content Group selector in the project and project template forms now has a search field.
  • LQA profiles can now be assigned to existing workflow steps via a PATCH request to the project API, without needing to resend the whole project.
  • The segments API now returns each segment's translation origin, match score, and whether it is confirmed or locked.
  • Added an asynchronous Upload bilingual file API, so large or numerous file uploads no longer block while processing.
  • XLIFF (XLF/XLF2) export now supports selecting the casing format for the target language code written into the file header.
  • The project template list API now returns each template's assigned vendor.
  • The subscription status banner's Top-up button now opens the top-up flow for the specific product that triggered it.
  • Content profiles generated for style guides now preserve more rule detail, including exceptions and overrides, especially for larger rule sets.
  • The Editor's batch Pre-translate dialog now has a per-action option to overwrite existing translations, independent of the project-level setting.
  • Added a webhook event that fires when an asynchronous locale download completes via the API.
  • Studio now extracts and displays the background audio waveform.
  • Added a new AI voice option for Studio's Text-to-Speech tool, now available to all users in Preferences, Project Settings, and the Text-to-Speech tool.
  • The Contentful 2.0 connector now supports a configurable preview header (name and secret value), so Phrase can load preview pages protected by services like CloudFront.
  • The Contentful app now uses the environment alias for Management API calls when one is configured, so roles scoped to an alias no longer need direct access to the underlying environment.
  • Atlas now shows a disclaimer noting that it is AI and can make mistakes.
  • Orchestrator's Send HTTP Request (v2) action now lets a custom Content-Type header override the default for XML and plain text bodies, unblocking SOAP calls.
  • Orchestrator workflows can now trigger when a Strings locale download completes, instead of polling its status.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed: MT Optimize was not automatically applying the project's style guide rules for the target language.
  • Fixed: MDX was not shown in the Markdown flavor selector.
  • Fixed: a Storyblok integration pipeline issue caused field names to come back with an incorrect suffix.
  • Fixed: changing a Phrase password could cause Phrase TMS to loop endlessly between the login page and the job list.
  • Fixed: the Customer portal link in the Frame's Help and Resources widget only closed the widget instead of opening the portal.
  • Fixed: auto-generated style guide rule names could be cut off mid-phrase.
  • Fixed: pre-translation and concordance search returned no translation memory matches for Spanish variant target locales in projects created from a template via the Strings Automated Project Creation connector.
  • Fixed: importing an XLSX file into an MT glossary or term base failed when the file used absolute worksheet paths (for example files generated by openpyxl).
  • Fixed: MT Glossary terms were not applied when Next Gen MT translation fell back to segment-by-segment mode.
  • Fixed: DITA in-context preview was not generated for files encoded as UTF-16 LE.
  • Fixed: the Projects list's target language filter and column were empty for projects created on or before October 5, 2026.
  • Fixed: the Projects list name filter missed projects when the matching word followed an underscore.
  • Fixed: the Delete view confirmation dialog on the Projects list could be hidden behind an overlay and unclickable.
  • Fixed: changing a project's vendor through the public API could time out on large projects; the change is now processed in batches.
  • Fixed: the Financials price list dropdown loaded slowly for organizations with large price lists.
  • Fixed: linguists could be incorrectly denied write access to a job part they had already accepted.
  • Fixed: tabs with a link showed an incorrect hover style (underline and link color).
  • Fixed: the translations list endpoint ignored the locale filter when a key filter was also provided, returning every locale instead of the one requested.
  • Fixed: i18next v4 import and export treated ordinal plural keys as cardinal, dropping the two and few forms.
  • Fixed: an API error occurred when a term base did not support a required language.
  • Fixed: importing gettext plural content with an unresolvable locale code could crash the import.
  • Fixed: XTM Sync could send duplicate notifications about invalid or stuck jobs; each affected job is now reported once.
  • Fixed: a translated segment could end up with its start time after its end time when source word timestamps were out of order.
  • Fixed: Azure TTS locale selection in Studio showed no locales for any language.
  • Fixed: AI-assisted translation could insert a sentence break at a segment boundary when the source sentence continued across segments.
  • Fixed: the Google Drive connector returned a confusing error instead of a clear message when the "Shared Drives" root was used as a folder target.
  • Fixed: creating a connector using a shared connection failed with a server error.
  • Fixed: the Zendesk connector showed the wrong admin as the connection owner instead of the person who authorized it.
  • Fixed: the connector Connection selector reloaded and showed a spinner every time the browser window regained focus.
  • Fixed: in the Automated Project Creation folder browser, ticking a subfolder did not select its files.
  • Fixed: plural translation values could lose line breaks when uploaded to Strings via Job Sync, which caused source-match updates to be skipped.
  • Fixed: Contentful 2.0 preview and XLIFF download endpoints returned a generic content type instead of the correct one.
  • Fixed: Atlas could create multilingual Excel import configurations with the wrong file format setting, so the column mapping wasn't applied.
  • Fixed: a long auto-generated conversation title in the Atlas side panel could hide the New chat, More, and Close icons.
  • Fixed: long unbroken URLs in Atlas chat messages could overflow the message bubble instead of wrapping.
  • Fixed: the job owner could be missing from @ mention suggestions for linguists, even after being referenced in a segment comment.
  • Fixed: the editor could show a generic access-denied screen instead of a "Job is no longer available" message when a job was cancelled while a linguist had it open.
  • Fixed: a closed right-click menu in the editor could still react to keyboard input, sometimes pasting clipboard content or selecting all text when accepting a suggestion.
  • Fixed: requests from certain browser language settings could fail with a server error.
  • Fixed: the More languages pane search in the editor could return no results for linguists, while working correctly for admins.
  • Fixed: the progress bar could continue to show a segment as confirmed after its confirmation was undone.
