MXLIFFs, outside Phrase, can be only be used in two other TMS tools: Trados and MemoQ

MXLIFFs can be also be used in DVX3 and other TMS tools

Use case
Linguists work for numerous different organizations, and each one uses their own TMS tool. Linguists will often have to switch back and forth and if they want to keep a TM of their own based on the translation work they do for these organizations, compatible (M)XLIFFS are crucial to pass information back and forth. However, MXLIFFs cannot be used to populate DVX3 TMs, for example.
