Embedded objects are images, charts, tables and other forms of media common in documents, spreadsheets and slides (.DOCX, .XLSX, .PPTX, etc.). When included in a file imported for a job, they are marked with a warning in the jobs table as the content of the object was not processed and will not be included in the text for translation.
To preview what will be imported and translated, use the pre-translation features.
Importing embedded objects
To import the texts from these objects and translate them, locate them in the source file, copy the contents to a new document, and then import this document as a separate job. After the translation is complete, copy the translated text from the embedded files back into the main file.
If there are numerous embedded objects or if the location is unclear, it may be possible to extract the embedded texts from the file structure.
Windows only
To extract embedded texts, follow these steps:
-
Save a copy of the file.
-
Rename the file and change the extension to .ZIP.

-
When translation job is finished, copy the Embeddings folder back into the prepared .ZIP file.
-

-
Open the file and refresh the embedded objects with a right-click or a macro to apply the translations.
