The File Transfer Protocol is a network protocol used for the transfer of computer files between a client and a server on a computer network.FTP connector allows the downloading of source files and uploading of target files directly to/from the FTP server.
There are a number of use cases for the connector:

Project managers can add files directly to projects from an online repository.

Set up the submitter portal to allow Submitters to add files to requests directly from the online repository.

Use automated project creation (APC) to have new projects automatically created when a change in the last modified date is detected for monitored files or a folder.

This connector supports absolute path setting.

Set up continuous jobs to have selected files monitored for changes.
FTP Server Settings
No changes are required on the FTP server itself. The server must accept connections from the Phrase server IP addresses. Refer to Phrase Servers IP Addresses for the current list.

From the Settings
page, scroll down to the section.

Click on Connectors.
The page opens.

Click New connector.
The page opens.

Change the Type to FTP and provide a name for the connector.

Provide the following information:

Host name. Does not include the protocol (e.g. files.example.com).

Port number (Default setting is 21).

FTP Username.
-
FTP Password.

Select an encryption preference.

Click Test connection.
A checkmark will appear if the connection was successful. A red exclamation point will appear if it wasn't. Hover over the icon to see additional details.

Click Save.
The connector is added to the list on the page.
Delete a Connector
To delete a connector:

From the page, select the connector to delete.

Click Delete.
The window opens.

Type "delete" and click Delete.
The connector is deleted and the list of connectors is displayed.
Note
A connector cannot be deleted while it is still linked to incomplete jobs in a project, including jobs sitting in the Recycle bin. Attempting to delete such a connector returns a "Failed to delete connector" error.
Resolution: Open the project associated with the connector and complete or delete any remaining jobs. Go to , and empty it to remove any jobs still linked to the connector. Retry deleting the connector.
