The editor has an integrated spellchecker supporting many languages. The service only checks spelling and not grammar.
Spellchecker will produce different results from external spellcheckers as special characters are not recognized as they may potentially be code.
Example:
The desktop editor must be online to use the spellchecking service.
To run the spellchecker, press F7 or select Spellcheck from the menu. Spelling errors are underlined in red and displayed in the QA pane.
Right-clicking on an underlined word displays suggested spellings and if the original spelling is confirmed, it can be saved to the user dictionary by selecting Add to dictionary.
Enhance the spellchecker by adding a custom list of correct words in XLSX format. Added words are not shared; they are only available to that specific user. The only formatting required is the language code as a header in the first row.
Words can also be removed from the dictionary by modifying an exported XLSX file.
XLSX files containing the following characters cannot be imported:
"
(straight quotes); :
(colon); /
(slash); \
(backslash); !
(exclamation mark).
