Generate API Access Token (Strings)

Content is machine translated from English by Phrase Language AI.

Access tokens are used to access the API without providing a username and password taking the place of login data. Specific actions can be performed within the API based on granted privileges. There is no limit to how many tokens can be created and are listed on the Access tokens tab. Any user role can create an access token.

To generate an access token, follow these steps from inside the Strings application:

  1. From the user menu (top right), hover over Settings and click on Profile.

    The Profile Settings page opens.

  2. Select the Access tokens tab and click Generate token.

  3. Provide a Note for the token and the Scopes of the token.

  4. Click Save.

The token is added to the list and a notification is sent that the token has been created. The token will be presented in plain text and should be copied and stored in a secure location as for security reasons will not be presented again.

To edit a token name, click Phrase_Gear.png.

To delete a token, click languages_bin.jpg. Deleting a token renders it inoperable.
