Add line breaks in target that are not in present in source segments without corrupting the formatting of the completed file

Requested behavior

Have the possibility to add line breaks in target even when they are not present in source, and preserve the formatting in the completed file. 

Current behavior

We preserve the formatting of the original, but if we insert line breaks in target where there are none in source then the formatting gets broken. 

Workaround

Add the line breaks manually in the completed file.
