Terms added to a term base are displayed in the translation editor to suggest if and how such terms should be translated.
Once a term base is assigned to projects and/or spaces, matching terms from the term base will be highlighted in the source and target language with the following colors:

Green
The term is present in the default locale and/or has been correctly inserted in the target translation.

Grey
The term exists in the term base, but is not present in the source string.
Matching terms from the term base are also listed in the translation editor. Hover on each term in the list to show a side preview with additional information retrieved from the term base.

Terms recognized as 100% matches can be used by machine translation to populate strings.
MT glossaries are supported via integration with Phrase Language AI.
A colored icon next to each term indicates the status in the current translation.
Status icons:

Green checkmark
The term has been correctly inserted in the target translation.

Yellow circle
The term is missing in the target translation.
To insert a term from the term base in the target translation, click on it in the
menu.In case of several terms matching a word or phrase in the source language, select the desired matching key from the list in the

Term bases created in Phrase Strings can be used to improve machine translation quality by acting as MT glossaries in Phrase Language AI. This integration ensures the preferred terminology is applied consistently when using MT suggestions during translation in the editor or pre-translation.
Prerequisites

A term base with entries for both source and target languages.

Access to Phrase TMS.

Phrase Language AI is selected as machine translation provider.

At least one MT profile is configured in Phrase Language AI.
To use a term base as MT glossary in Phrase Language AI, follow these steps:

In the
page, hover over the dropdown menu of the desired term base.-
Term bases already used as MT glossaries are identified with a book icon
next to their name.

Select Upload as MT glossary.
A confirmation message is displayed to indicate successful upload to Phrase Language AI.

In Phrase TMS, select
from the left-hand navigation menu.The
page is displayed. -
Select the
tab.The uploaded term base is listed as a new MT glossary.

In the attach the MT glossary to the desired MT profile.

Any updates to the term base in Phrase Strings must be manually synced to the MT glossary. Click Update in Phrase Language AI from the menu of the term base to update the MT glossary in Phrase Language AI.
