The CAT web editor is the web-based translation workbench. It does not require any installation, but users must be connected to the internet to use it and the project manager must have the CAT web editor for Web enabled for Linguists option enabled in the Access and security section of the project setup.
The editor is opened by clicking a job from the jobs table or from a project. Jobs open in new browser tabs.
The editor is limited to a maximum of 40,000 segments that can be translated in one window and a maximum of 290 open jobs.
A wide range of input methods can be used for inserting Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters. These range from official to custom-made input methods.
The editor supports the following input methods:

Other input methods may not be fully supported. Before reporting any problems with CJK in the editor, ensure one of the supported input methods is being used.
Note
Error-free results are not guaranteed for Google Input Tools. Before reporting any issues, try using standard input method editors (IMEs).
Arabic fonts
Older versions of Chrome and Safari don't support the proper rendering of Arabic characters.
Upgrade to the newest version of Chrome or Safari or switch to Mozilla Firefox, where it works correctly.
Text selection can be problematic in browsers. If experiencing these problems, use the desktop editor.
Burmese fonts
Windows 10 fully supports Burmese fonts, but older versions do not.
If unable to upgrade, the following fonts offer restricted workarounds:

Myanmar text
The is the default for Windows but is not working properly.

Zawgyi-One
Free for download, and less problematic than Myanmar text.

Myanmar3
The best option, but a paid application (font and keyboard), and difficult to install.
There are two options if choosing Zawgyi-One to work with:

Set it in Chrome as the default font in order to use all online features of the editor. Rendering is not perfect and may be difficult to read.

Download the bilingual .DOCX and translate it in Word using the Zawgyi-One font. With this method, the Linguist will not be able to use online features such as the translation memory, QA checks, or term bases.
Tip
PowerPoint does not allow users to change fonts in files that have already been translated into Burmese.
Open the original in PowerPoint, change the font to Zawgyi-One, save it, and then import it as a new job. The completed file will then have the correct font.
Failed to save segment # due to an internal error
The project is in the status. This prevents a linguist from saving segments as the project is technically finished and jobs are closed for further editing. Contact the person (project manager or admin), who assigned the job and ask them to change the project status from to either , , or so the job can be edited.
