To access options for managing security environment and data access, follow these steps:

  1. From the Settings Setup_gear.png page, scroll down to the Project settings section and click on Access and security.

    • Email notifications

    • User metadata displayed to linguists in Phrase CAT editor

      Linguists and Vendors may see who translated identified TM matches. Deselect to provide anonymity.

    • Grant access to Phrase technical support

      Phrase technical support has access to your profile to help resolve technical issues.

    • Activate/Deactivate linguists automatically

      Team/Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise editions enable the creation of an unlimited number of users and have them activated and deactivated automatically based on task assignment.

      A Linguist profile is automatically deactivated if there are no jobs in progress. As soon as a new job is assigned, the profile is automatically reactivated.

    • Use vendors for projects

      Allow the use of Vendors that facilitate the sharing and collaboration of files across organizations.

    • Linguists may start a workflow step only if the preceding step has been completed

      Restrict or allow translators and reviewers to work simultaneously on one job or not until the job is set to Complete.

    • Linguists may edit locked segments

      Linguists and Vendors are permitted to edit locked segments by clicking F2.

    • Linguists may edit tag content

    • Linguists may edit source

      Linguists are permitted to edit source texts including the splitting and joining of segments.

      If not selected, Linguists are not permitted to:

      • Edit the source language in the editor. Pressing F2, triggers the message Source edits disabled by project owner.

      • Upload bilingual MXLIFF or DOCX files with edits in the source segments including modification in the UI, API, or editor. Attemps triggers the message Source edits prohibited by project owner. Upload failed.

      • Join or split segments.

    • Linguists may download the LQA scorecard

    • Usernames displayed in LQA scorecard

      When disabled, all names are replaced with the user id and organization name.

    • Users may turn on/turn off auto-propagation of repetitions in editor

      Permits Linguists and Vendors the option of enabling or disabling the auto-propagation of repetitions feature in the editor.

    • Users may turn on/turn off Instant QA in Phrase CAT editor

    • Vendors of shared jobs may upload references

  3. Optionally set which Vendors can change shared job due date.

  4. Set Session timeout value.

  5. Select Use secure HTTPS for Webhooks if required.

  6. Set Trusted IP Addresses or ranges (Business and Enterprise editions only)

    If specified, users are not able to log in from other addresses. Select Advanced to set access options based on user roles. Ranges are specified with a CIDR suffix.

    Note

    Only IPv4 addresses are supported.

  7. Allow loading of external content in Phrase CAT editor.

  8. Allow loading of iframes in CAT web editor.

  9. Click Save.

    Preferences are applied.
