The sidebar on the right of the editor shows useful information that provide context and helpful tools when translating. Options and sections available in the sidebar are based on the item type currently selected in the editor: project, key card or source/target language field.
Sections displayed in the contextual sidebar can be hidden or rearranged according to user needs. To customize sections visualization, follow these steps:

Click on View at the top of the source and target language pane and select Reorder sidebar from the dropdown.
The panel is displayed with a list of available sections.

Use the handles on the left of the desired sections to drag and reorder them in the list.
Relevant changes are instantly applied to the contextual sidebar on the right. Reordering is saved and replicated in all projects the user has access to.

Click the toggle on the right of the desired sections to hide or show them in the contextual sidebar.

Note
Some sections (e.g. , , and ) might not be visible in the sidebar if no content exists. As soon as there is content to display, they will appear in the order set through .
When opening the editor, the sidebar includes a project overview. Click to copy the project URL.
Job context
If jobs exist in the project, a job list is displayed with status information. To view job details, hover over a job and select View job context. The sidebar will display information about the keys included in that job.
Note
Only assigned jobs are listed in the contextual sidebar.
From the job context view:

Use options under the dropdown menu at the top right to edit the job or translation status.

Select Add ticket link to add a Jira link to the job context.
Note
This option is displayed only if there are no Jira links already added.

Select the Comments tab in the section to add comments about a job.
The Comments tab also enables to search for comments, add reactions, edit or delete comments.
After selecting a card, the key details are displayed in the sidebar with interaction menus. Available menu names are displayed at the top of the sidebar and clicking on the menu name will jump to the selected menu.
At the top of the key sidebar, click on the icon to copy the key URL or click on the gear icon to edit some of the key attributes. Use the description field to review or add a new description for the selected key.
Below the key name and description, the menus are presented:

Show a preview of any existing reference files attached to the project.

To add new screenshots as a key reference, select Add screenshot from the
menu at the top right. Select the gear icon at the top to access the screenshot management page of the project.

Figma previews:
To add new Figma links as a key reference, select Add Figma preview from the
menu at the top right. Once the link is added, a Figma preview is generated with real-time information about filename and latest changes at the bottom left. The Figma preview allows to scroll and zoom in/out through the attached file.
Hover over the preview and select available options under the
menu to open a bigger in-app preview of the Figma link, open the file in Figma, edit the link or detach it from the key. Detaching a Figma preview does not delete the link, which is only detached from the key.

Not supported in jobs imported to Phrase TMS via Job Sync.

List all QA issues which have been found in the selected translation with relevant information.

Display matches from the attached term bases and apply the correct translation for the desired terms in the editor.

View hits from the built-in translation memory or any machine translation matches and apply them directly from the sidebar.
MT provider logo is displayed in the key card to indicate strings that are machine translated.

Enter text to search for any tags applied to the key or create new tags. If there are no matching tags, press Enter to add the newly created tag. Click the x on the tag to remove it.

System tags are displayed by default. Click
and toggle off Show system tags to hide them.

Clicking on a tag will automatically insert the tag into simple and advanced search fields to filter the key list. Tags already applied to search are disabled from clicking.

Preview all the languages of the selected key and relevant translations with status information.
By default, the first 3 lines of text are displayed for each translation. Any truncated translations can be expanded by clicking on the relevant language.
Hover on a language and click
to open it in the editor through multilingual view.

View jobs where the key is included and add the key to existing jobs.
Hover on a job in the list to display the following options:

: Refine key list by applying job tag and update keys displayed in the editor.

: Display job overview in the relevant project page.

: Remove the selected key from the job. This option is not available for locked keys.

View additional metadata about the current key, including:
-
Type
Indicates the type of the current key (e.g., String, Array, Boolean, Markdown, Number). To allow translators to modify keys of all types, select the in advanced project settings.

Allows to view and edit the plural form type (cardinal or ordinal) for the given key directly in the editor.
Important
Changing the plural type clears existing translations.

Comments tab
Select this tab to communicate directly with team members on keys and languages in the project by adding comments.
The Comments tab also enables to search and filter comments, add reactions, edit, resolve or delete comments and comment threads.

Change history of a translation.
To restore a previous version of the translated text, hover over the desired change displayed in the history and click on the
icon.

If custom metadata properties have been assigned to the project, expand this section to display available properties and add or edit relevant values for each key. Any changes are automatically saved.
To add or edit custom metadata values of multiple keys at once, use batch actions.

If linked keys are available in the project, expand this section to display relevant information. Users with required permissions can edit or delete existing links using options in the
edit menu:

Parent key

Link child keys
Opens a window to edit child keys linked to the parent key.

Delete all key links
Opens a window to unlink all child keys and remove the linked key from the page.

Child keys

Link to another parent
Opens a window to create a new link by selecting a different parent for the child key.

Delete parent link
Opens a window to unlink the child key from its parent.

Users with required permissions can also create new linked keys. Click on a key that is not part of an existing link to display the following options:

Set as parent key
Opens a window to create a new link where the parent key is preselected. Selecting child keys already linked to another parent key will override the previous link.

Link to parent key
Opens a window to create a new link where the child key is preselected.

To display additional actions for editing or managing keys, click on the button at the top right of the pane. Upon selection of the key card, these options are available:
